The authors obtain sufficient conditions for dissipativity and asymptotic stability of a class of nonlinear neutral delay integro-differential equations of the form \[ \begin{cases} \frac{d}{dt}[y(t)-Ny(t-\tau)]=f\left(t,y(t),y(t-\tau)\cdot\int_{t-\tau}^t g(t,\xi,y(\xi))d\xi\right)\\ y(t)=\phi(t),\quad t_0-\tau\leq t\leq t_0,\end{cases}\tag{\(*\)} \] where \(\tau>0\) is a constant, \(N\in \mathbb C^{d\times d}\) is a constant \(d\times d\) matrix with \(2\|N\|^2<1\), \(\phi:[t_0-\tau,t_0]\to \mathbb C^d\) is continuous, \(f:[t_0,\infty)\times \mathbb C^d\times \mathbb C^d\times \mathbb C^d\to \mathbb C^d\) is locally Lipschitz continuous and \(g:[t_0,\infty)\times[t_0-\tau,\infty)\times \mathbb C^d\to \mathbb C^d\) is continuous. Halanay's inequality is generalized appropriately and used to obtain above results. These results seem to form a basis for the numerical treatment of dissipativity and asymptotic stability of solutions of (\(*\)).
