Let \(S\) denote a finite set of places that contains the Archimedean place and for \(\nu\in S\) let \(\mathbb{Q}_\nu\) denote the corresponding completion of \(\mathbb{Q}\). The basic question considered in this paper concerns the solvability of system of linear inequalities \[ \left|\sum_{i=1}^nq_i\xi_\nu^{(i)}+q_0\right|_{\nu}<\Psi(q_0,\dots,q_n),\qquad\nu\in S \] in integers \(q_0,\dots,q_n\). For each \(\nu\in S\) the \(n\)-tuple \((\xi_{\nu}^{(1)},\dots,\xi_{\nu}^{(n)})\in\mathbb{Q}_\nu^n\) is assumed to be given by an analytic map that satisfied some non-degeneracy condition. The main result of the paper states that under some natural conditions on \(\Psi\) for almost all `matrices' \((\xi_{\nu}^{(1)},\dots,\xi_{\nu}^{(n)})_{\nu\in S}\) there are only finitely many integer solutions to the above system. The reader may find it useful to look at the paper [``Flows on \(S\)-arithmetic homogeneous spaces and applications to metric Diophantine approximation'', Comment. Math. Helv. 82, No. 3, 519--581 (2007; Zbl 1135.11037)] by \textit{D. Kleinbock} and \textit{G. Tomanov}.
