A Fatou component \(\Omega\) for a map \(F\) is called invariant if \(F(\Omega)=\Omega\), and an invariant Fatou component \(\Omega\) for a map \(F\) is called attracting if there exists a point \(p\in\bar{\Omega}\) with \(\lim_{n\to\infty}F^n(z)=p\) for all \(z\in \Omega\). When \(p\in\Omega\), \(\Omega\) is called recurrent, while when \(p\in\partial\Omega\), \(\Omega\) is called non-recurrent. When \(p\) is an attracting fixed point, \textit{H. Peters} et al. [Int. J. Math. 19, No. 7, 801--810 (2008; Zbl 1149.37027)] constructed the global basin of attraction of \(F\) at \(p\). On the other hand, \textit{T. Ueda} [J. Math. Kyoto Univ. 26, 233--261 (1986; Zbl 0611.32001)] obtained results on the non-recurrent invariant attracting Fatou component \(\Omega\) of polynomial automorphisms of \(\mathbb{C}^2\) and \(\mathbb{C}^3\). In this article, the authors prove the existence of automorphisms of \(\mathbb{C}^k,k\geq 2,\) having an invariant, non-recurrent Fatou component that is biholomorphic to \(\mathbb{C}\times(\mathbb{C}^\star)^k\) and is attracting. A Runge copy of \(\mathbb{C}\times(\mathbb{C}^\star)^k\) in \(\mathbb{C}^k\) is also obtained. The authors derive some significant and interesting results.
