In this work, an example is developed that fulfills a certain relationship between cardinal parameters, the character and the splitting number \(\mathfrak{s}\). The author takes us on a tour of various topics in current mathematics. The main result shows a compact Efimov space, where the character is \(\aleph_ 1\) but its splitting number is \(\aleph_ 2\). Throughout the article various forcing techniques are developed in different situations, which allow to build the promised example. Using results and the same example, we can obtain Corollary 40 that touches on the old Scarborough-Stone problem.
