      The paper deals with the investigation of the Cauchy problem for the Fokker-Planck-Boltzmann equation which describes the motion of particles in a thermal bath. The chosen collision kernel of the equation includes hard potentials with Grad's angular cutoff. The authors study solutions of this problem around the Maxwellian equilibrium state in suitable Besov-Chemin-Lerner type spaces, motivated by the search for larger solution spaces. The authors first obtain local existence by using a standard iteration method, and after that they prove the global existence by establishing global a priori estimates by the use of the Littlewood-Paley theory. The other main result of the paper is the uniform stability of the dependence on the initial data.
