The main result of the paper is the following \(p\)-nilpotency criterium. Let \(p\) be a prime dividing the order of a group \(G\) with \((|G|, p - 1) = 1\) and let \(P\) be a Sylow \(p\)-subgroup of \(G.\) If \(P\) has a subgroup \(D\) such that \(1 < |D| < |P|\) and all subgroups of \(P\) with order \(|D|\) and all cyclic subgroups of \(P\) with order 4 (if \(P\) is a non-abelian 2-group and \(|D|=2\)) are pronormal in \(N_G(P)\) and \(P^\prime\) is normal in \(G\), then \(G\) is \(p\)-nilpotent. Moreover, the author proves that for \(p\)-subgroups of finite groups, the concept of pronormal subgroups, weakly normal subgroups and weakly closed subgroups are equivalent.
