Let \(\mathcal{R}(M^n)\) be the set of Riemannian metric on \(M^n\), an \(n\)-dimensional closed Riemannian manifold, \(\lambda_k\) be a positive function on \(\mathcal{R}(M^n)\). Let \(\overline{\lambda_k}(M^n)=\lambda_k(g)|M^n|^{n/2}\) where \(|M^n|^{n/2}\) denotes the volume of \(M^n\) and \(\bigwedge_k(M^n,[g])=\sup\limits_{\tilde{g}\in[g]}\overline {\lambda_k}(M^n)\) where \([g]=\{\exp(2\omega)g:\omega\text{ smooth on }M^n\}\). The Friedlander-Nadirashvili Invariant (FNI) associated to \(M^n\) is the functional \(I_k(M^n)=\inf\limits_{[g]}\bigwedge_k(M^n, [g]).\) Therefore, the authors state that the FNIs of orientable surfaces endowed with odd genera coincide with the FNI of the bidimensional sphere and the infimum is reached for this kind of surfaces without genera. Also, they state that the FNIs of non-orientable surfaces with even genera coincide with the FNI of the projective plane and in this situation the infimum is not attained.
