Homotopy theory of stratified spaces (Q2664187)

In the paper under review the author proves that the category of stratified spaces admits a cofibrantly generated model structure where the weak equivalences are characterized by stratified homotopy groups. In order to prove this result he first needs to construct a model structure on the category \(\mbox{Top}_P\) of spaces filtered over a fixed poset \(P\). Such model structure is given by considering the projective model structure on the category \(\mbox{Fun}(R(P)^{op},sSet)\) of \(R(P)^{op}\)-shaped diagrams of simplicial sets together with a certain adjunction \[\mbox{Top}_P\leftrightarrow \mbox{Fun}(R(P)^{op},sSet)\] Here \(R(P)\) is, broadly speaking, the subdivision of \(P\). The adjunction turns out to be a Quillen equivalence.
