Optimal control computation for nonlinear fractional time-delay systems with state inequality constraints (Q2664895)

The authors develop a method for numerically solving a control problem that contains a delay differential equation of fractional order. The construction of the discretization is based on Taylor expansions that require a certain degree of smoothness of the given data and the exact solution. In practice, it seems to be quite unlikely that these assumptions will be satisfied. Many of the numerical examples deal with the pathological case where the fractional derivative is actually an integer order derivative.
