The authors consider plasmon resonance for a 2D nanorod structure with anisotropic geometry. The quantitative behavior of the resonant field is characterized. In particular, the asymptotic representation of the scattered wave field from such a 2D nanorod is obtained. Resonance conditions are presented in terms of the blowup of the gradient of the scattered field by estimating appropriate boundary integral operators and the scattered field (rather than the previously obtained asymptotic representation of the scattered field).
