The main result of this article proves that FK percolation with \(q \geq 1\) on a variety of planar lattices has a sharp phase transition. The result may be extended to the Potts model via Edward-Sokal coupling. The authors' method is based on sharp threshold techniques and certain symmetries of the lattice. Nevertheless, the present method has the advantage of using self-duality for the identification of the critical point only, and not for the proof of sharpness. Moreover, the authors investigate a possible extension of the result to more general models.
