    Let \(F :\mathbb{C}^{n} \rightarrow \mathbb{C}^{m}\) be a polynomial mapping such that \(\#F^{ -1}(0) < +\infty .\) The Łojasiewicz exponent \(\mathcal{L}_{\infty }(F)\) of \(F\) at infinity is the supremum of \(\alpha \in \mathbb{R}\) such that \[ \left \vert F(z)\right \vert \geq C\left \vert z\right \vert ^{\alpha } \] for sufficiently large \(\left \vert z\right \vert \) \(\text{and}\) \(C\) is a positive constant. The main result of the article is a formula for the Łojasiewicz exponent at infinity in the case \(F = \nabla f =\left (\frac{ \partial f}{ \partial z_{1}} ,\ldots ,\frac{ \partial f}{ \partial z_{n}}\right ) ,\) where \(f :\mathbb{C}^{n} \rightarrow \mathbb{C}^{}\) is a weighted homogeneous polynomial with weights of variables \(\left (w_{1} ,\ldots ,w_{n}\right ) ,\) \(w_{i} \geq 2.\) The formula is \[ \mathcal{L}_{\infty }( \nabla f) =\min _{i =1}^{n}w_{i} -1. \] The author gives also proofs of particular cases of the Jacobian conjecture and criteria for properness of polynomial mappings.
