The authors consider a 1-dimensional cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation in presence of an external potential and are interested in the global in time behaviour of the solutions. In fact, without requiring the differentiability, they enlarge the class of potentials \(V\) for which one has global in time bounds and long time asymptotics. They are able to treat both the case of generic and nongeneric potentials and also provide an alternative approach to solve similar problems. They main tools they use are the Fourier transform adapted to the Schrödinger operator, some basic bounds on pseudodifferential operators and improved local decay and smoothing-type estimates.
