The authors study the zero Dirichlet problem for a fully nonlinear Lane-Emden type system of the form \[ \begin{cases} &F_1(x,u,Du,D^2u) + \lambda \tau_1(x) |v|^{q-1} v = f_1(x)\text{ in } \Omega,\\ &F_2(x,v,Dv,D^2v) + \mu \tau_2(x) |u|^{p-1} u = f_2(x)\text{ in } \Omega,\\ &u=v=0\text{ on }\partial\Omega, \end{cases} \] under certain assumptions on the appearing quantities. Among main results, the existence, simplicity, local isolation, and asymptotics of two principal eigencurves on the \((\lambda,\mu)\)-plane is established when \(f_i = 0\), in the ``linear'' regime \(pq=1\). In the nonhomogeneous case \(f_i \neq 0\), versions of the maximum and anti-maximum principles are also proved in certain ranges of parameters \(\lambda,\mu\). Explicit examples are given. Many obtained results are new also in the scalar case of one equation.
