    \textit{W. K. Nicholson} defined in [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 229, 269--278 (1977; Zbl 0352.16006)] a ring \(R\) to be \textit{clean} if each its element \(r\) is \textit{clean}, that is, \(r=u+e\), where \(u\in R\) is an invertible element and \(e\in R\) is an idempotent element. When this presentation is unique, \(r\) is just called \textit{uniquely clean} as well as \(R\) is called \textit{uniquely clean}, provided all of its elements are so. The rings whose every element is uniquely clean are completely characterized by \textit{W. K. Nicholson} and \textit{Y. Zhou} [Glasg. Math. J. 46, No. 2, 227--236 (2004; Zbl 1057.16007)]. The purpose of this paper is to characterize a more large class of rings in which every clean element is uniquely clean. The main results are structured in Theorems 3.1, 3.2, 3.5 and Proposition 4.4, respectively, in which are proved mainly standard assertions equipped with not too difficult proofs. However, in all, the paper is well-written and motivated.
