The authors consider an initial-boundary value problem for full compressible Navier-Stokes equations on the half-line for viscous heat-conducting ideal polytropic gas. Initial distributions tend to constant values at infinity. Boundary condition for velocity is zero. Global existence, uniqueness, and stability of the 3-rarefaction wave is proved for the case of small (close to 1) adiabatic exponent. Stability is with respect to small perturbations of temperature, though other perturbations can be large.
