Existence and uniqueness of solutions of three-point boundary value problems on time scales by solution matching (English)

The authors present existence and uniqueness results for three-point boundary value problems for a third-order nonlinear dynamic equation on a time scale \({\mathbb{T}}\). The calculus on time scales (measure chains) was introduced by Hilger in order to unify the theories of differential \((\mathbb{T}=\mathbb{R})\) and difference \((\mathbb{T}=\mathbb{Z})\) equations. A certain condition on the monotone growth of the nonlinearity is given, which implies that the associated two-point boundary value problems possess at most one solution. These solutions are then matched at the common boundary point to obtain a solution to the given three-point boundary value problem. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThis paper will be usefull for researchers interested in boundary value problems for differential, difference, and/or dynamic equations.
