Analysis of a coupled fluid-structure model with applications to hemodynamics (English)
      0 references
The paper is a contribution to fluid-structure interaction algorithms. The model is then tested for flows with compliant walls. The aim of the authors is to build a fast and stable algorithm which (1) avoids remeshing because it is incompatible with unconditional stability and (2) which is a consistent and energy preserving scheme . The authors use a transpiration condition which does not require an update of the geometry at each time step , for pipe flow at least. This leads to a model that is well posed and for which a semi-implicite time discretization can be shown to converge. Some numerical results are presented and a comparison with a standard test case from hemodynamics is realized. The model is more stable and needs less computer time than full models with a moving mesh. Finally, the presented new model is applied to a 3D arterial flow with a stent.NEWLINENEWLINEThe bibliography contains 65 items.
