The classical Shimura lift consists of Hecke-equivariant maps from spaces of elliptic modular form of half-integral weight to spaces of elliptic modular forms of integral weight. \textit{B. A. Cipra} gave a construction of this lift via theta kernels in [Nagoya Math. J. 91, 49--117 (1983; Zbl 0523.10014)]. The authors compute the corresponding regularized theta lift for harmonic weak Maaß forms, where the regularization is the one of Borcherds.
