The authors are concerned with existence of multiple solutions for elliptic problems driven by the \(p(x)\)-Laplacian in the whole \({\mathbb R}^N\). By using the Ekeland's variational principle and some properties related to the Nehari manifold, the main result of the paper establishes the existence of a large number of solutions under additional hypotheses on the data.
