This paper is interested in a conservative finite difference scheme applied on the two-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation with wave operator. The discrete energy method is used for an analysis of the presented scheme. The numerical solution is shown to be conservative, unconditionally stable and convergent with second order. The theoretical result is supported by numerical experiments.
