The aim of this paper is to prove the Liouville integrability of the Toeplitz and modified Toeplitz lattices, respectively of the modified Schur lattice. The first section is focused on the complex Lie group \(\mathbf{GL}_n(\mathbb{C})\). In the beginning of this section, some generalities about real and complex Poisson structures are recalled. In the sequel, several constructions of real and complex Poisson structures on \(\mathbf{GL}_n(\mathbb{C})\) are presented and a general result on Poisson-Lie groups and subgroups, applied to \(\mathbf{GL}_n(\mathbb{C})\), is obtained. The second section deals with the Poisson-Lie group interpretation of the Toeplitz lattice based on the complex and real Poisson structures on the complex Lie group \(\mathbf{GL}_n(\mathbb{C})\). Based on this interpretation, Lax equations for the Toeplitz and modified Toeplitz lattices are recovered and the Liouville integrability is proven. In the last section, a Poisson-Lie group interpretation of the Schur and modified Schur lattice is given. The notion of a commutative diagram of Poisson-Dirac submanifolds is introduced and some of its properties are presented. A real Poisson-Dirac subvariety of \(\mathbf{GL}_n^{\mathbb{R}}(\mathbb{C})\) is considered and a Hamiltonian for the Poisson structure induced on this submanifold is constructed. Using these results, a Lax equation for the modified Schur lattice is derived and the Liouville integrability is proven.
