It is known that certain groups (e.g. the so-called \textit{expanders}) do not satisfy the Baum-Connes Conjecture; it is interesting to know if such a failure is hereditary. The author of the paper under review proves that if an expander is coarsely embedded into a finitely generated discrete group \(G\), then the Baum-Connes map is an injection but not a surjection. Yet if on takes a proper family of the coefficients, then the Baum-Connes Conjecture for the group \(G\) holds true. It is an interesting and unexpected result.
