Capture and relaxation in self-assembled semiconductor quantum dots. The dot and its environment (English)
0 references
Quantum dots are semi-conductor nano-elements, and in this monography, one will find various proposed models to describe the capture and the relaxation of carriers in quantum dot systems. This book is a collection of lectures for graduate students, and its main purpose is a better understanding of the exchange of energy between a quantum dot and its environment. The three main topics dealt with are respectively the electronic states in self-assembled semi-conductor quantum dots, the capture of carriers by the quantum dots, and the energy relaxation of confined carriers in self-assembled quantum dots.
