Let \(H\) be a Hilbert space. An operator \(A\in B(H)\) is called \(m\)-isometry if NEWLINE\[NEWLINE\sum^m_{k=0}(-1)^k\binom mk A^{*m-k}A^{m-k}=0.NEWLINE\]NEWLINE \textit{B. P. Duggal} [Linear Algebra Appl. 437, No. 1, 307--318 (2012; Zbl 1295.47010)] proved that the tensor product of an \(m\)-isometry \(A\) with an \(n\)-isometry \(B\) is an \(m+n-1\) isometry. Here, the author investigates the tensor product of strict \(m\)-isometries. An operator \(A\) is said to be a strict \(m\)-isometry if \(A\) is not a \(k\)-isometry for every integer \(1\leq k<m\). Let \(A,B\in B(H)\) and \(m,n\) be some natural numbers. If \(A\) (resp., \(B\)) is a strict \(m\)-isometry, then the author shows that (i)~the tensor product \(A\otimes B\) is an \((m+n-1)\)-isometry if and only if \(B\) (resp., \(A\)) is an \(n\)-isometry; (ii)~\(A\otimes B\) is a strict \((m+n-1)\)-isometry if and only if \(B\) (resp., \(A\)) is a strict \(n\)-isometry. These are generalizations of results of \textit{F. Botelho}, \textit{J. Jamison} and \textit{B.-T. Zheng} [Linear Algebra Appl. 436, No. 9, 3303--3314 (2012; Zbl 1264.47040)].
