Bezier curve interpolation constrained by a line (English)
0 references
This paper presents simple constraints for quadratic and cubic Bézier curves which ensure to constrain by a line. They are followed by appropriate algorithms. Having the starting and ending points of the curve, the middle points are determined so the curve only touches the constraint line without crossing it. In the case of cubic curves two kinds of solution are provided, the C-shape and the S-shape. The proposed methods can be used in the path planning and highway or railway route design.
