Optimal derivative-free fourth-order schemes for solving nonlinear equations by introducing two parameters are modified. This allows to accelerate the convergence of the schemes up to seven, by using the information of the function at the previous step. The \(R\) order of convergence of the resulting scheme with memory and the stability of the proposed methods are proven. Results of numerical experiments with visualization are given.
