This paper concerns the analysis of the exponential convergence of approximate solutions obtained, using the particular case of the Galerkin method, for the boundary value problem \[ \begin{alignedat}{2} -\Delta u- ku & = 0 \quad &\text{in }&\Omega, \\ u & = 0 \quad &\text{on }&\Gamma _{D},\\ \nabla u\mathbf{n}+ i k \nu u & =g_{r} \quad &\text{on }&\Gamma _{R},\end{alignedat} \] where \( \Omega = \Omega_{R}\setminus{\bar{\Omega}_{D}}\), \({\bar{\Omega}_{D}}\subset \Omega_{R}\subset \mathbb R^{2}\) and imposing other conditions on the boundary of the domain parameter of the equation. For the mesh \( T_{h}\) of the domain \( \Omega \) it is introduced, so named, the Trefftz space of functions and the initial problem is reduced to variational form. The main result is formulated in the Theorem 6.5 of the exponential convergence. Numerical results for this method are not given.
