Given a pointed metric space \((M,d,0)\), consider the space \(\mathrm{Lip}_0(M)\) of all Lipschitz functions \(f:M\rightarrow\mathbb R\) with \(f(0)=0\) equipped with the norm \(\| f\|_{\mathrm{Lip}}\) given by the best Lipschitz constant of \(f\). For each \(x\in M\), the map \(\delta_M(x):f\mapsto f(x)\) is an element of the dual space of \(\mathrm{Lip}_0(M)\) and the Lipschitz-free space \(\mathcal F(M)\) over \(M\) is defined as the closed linear span of \(\{\delta_M(x):x\in M\}\). It is known that \(\mathcal F(M)\) is a predual of \(\mathrm{Lip}_0(M)\). A metric space \((M,d)\) is called ultrametric if the following stronger version of the triangle inequality holds: \(d(x,y)\leq\max\{d(x,z),d(z,y)\}\) for all \(x,y,z\in M\). The authors prove that, if \((M,d,0)\) is a separable, pointed ultrametric space, then \(\mathcal F(M)\) has a monotone Schauder basis and is isomorphic to \(\ell^1\), thereby extending some results of \textit{A. Dalet} [Mediterr. J. Math. 12, No. 3, 973--986 (2015; Zbl 1342.46008)].
