Reidemeister torsion of a 3-manifold obtained by an integral Dehn-surgery along the figure-eight knot (Q309669)

The author of the present paper considers \(3\)-manifolds obtained by Dehn surgery along the figure-eight knot. The author establishes a formula for computing the Reidemeister torsion of such a manifold \(M\) for any \(\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb{C})\)-irreducible representation. Theorem 1.1: \[ \tau_\rho(M)=\frac{2(u-1)}{u^2(u^2-5)} \] where \(u\) is the trace of the image of the meridian.
