This is the typical example of an introductory basic book on nonlinear dynamics, intended for students in mathematical physics. The main basic topics are covered with viewpoints of applied sciences, namely: nonlinear oscillations, integrable systems, stability and structural stability, chaos, fractals, fractal attractors, and dissipative systems. This is a book of applied mathematics and engineering mathematics with no abstract space. I have remarked the chapter on chaos and fractal attractors which is very attractive to the reader together with the chapter on catastrophe theory. The presentation of the topics is standard, and the book could be quite useful for textbook in a graduate course of physics and applied mathematics.
