The paper addresses the three-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) with the cubic-quintic nonlinearity, taken in the form of NEWLINE\[NEWLINE (i\partial_t + \Delta)\psi = (|\psi|^2 - 1)(|\psi|^2 - 1+\gamma)\psi, NEWLINE\]NEWLINE where \(\Delta\) is the Laplacian, and \(0<\gamma<1\) is a real parameter. Considered are perturbations around a flat solution of this equation, \(\psi=1\), subject to the boundary condition \(\psi(\infty)=1\). The analysis is based on the decomposition of the perturbation into a combination of real and imaginary parts, and, accordingly, splitting the complex NLSE into a system of two real equations. Considering the evolution of the perturbations, starting from appropriate initial conditions, it is proved that the perturbation asymptotically in time (\(t\to\infty\)) and globally in the space approaches solutions of the linearized equations for small perturbations around the above-mentioned flat state.
