The paper under review is devoted to the study of actions by compact Lie groups on \(C^*\)-algebras. In the case of finite groups, a classification was obtained by \textit{M. Izumi} [Duke Math. J. 122, No. 2, 233--280 (2004; Zbl 1067.46058)] and [Adv. Math. 184, No. 1, 119--160 (2004; Zbl 1050.46049)] under some additional approximate freeness assumption (the Rokhlin property). In this article, techniques of equivariant \(KK\)-theory are used to study actions of compact groups on \(C^*\)-algebras with the (stronger) continuous Rokhlin property. Using a version of the Baum-Connes isomorphism for quantum groups due to \textit{R. Meyer} and \textit{R. Nest} [Math. Scand. 100, No. 2, 301--316 (2007; Zbl 1155.19002)], the authors prove that, if \(G\) is a connected compact Lie group with torsion-free fundamental group, then any \(G\)-\(C^*\)-algebra \((A,\alpha)\) with the continuous Rokhlin property is \(KK^G\)-equivalent to \(A^\alpha\otimes C(G)\). They apply this result to the classification of unital Kirchberg \(G\)-algebras with the continuous Rokhlin property. It is shown that unital Kirchberg \(G\)-algebras with the Rokhlin property are \(G\)-equivariantly isomorphic if and only if they are \(KK^G\)-equivalent. From this, the authors derive a complete classification of unital Kirchberg \(G\)-algebras in terms of equivariant \(KK\)-theory, generalizing results of \textit{M. Izumi} and \textit{H. Matui} [Adv. Math. 224, No. 2, 355--400 (2010; Zbl 1195.46077)] and \textit{E. Gardella} [``Classification theorems for circle actions on Kirchberg algebras. II'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1406.1208}]. A key point of the classification is the construction of certain crossed product of the dual discrete quantum group \(\hat{G}\) which is \(KK^G\)-equivalent to \(C(G)\).
