A general method of summation, the so called \(\theta\)-summation method, which is generated by a single function \(\theta\) and which includes the well known Fejér, Riesz, Weierstrass and Abel summability methods, is studied intensively in the literature. The means generated by the \(\theta\)-summation are defined by \[ \sigma_T^{\theta}f(x)=\int_R \theta\left (\frac{-t}{T}\right)\widehat{f}(t) e^{2 \pi i x \cdot t}\, dt. \] The choice \(\theta(t)=\max (1-| t| ,0)\) yields the Fejér summation. \textit{H.G. Feichtinger} and \textit{F. Weisz} [Monatsh. Math. 148, No. 4, 333--349 (2006; Zbl 1130.42012)] and [Math. Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 140, No. 3, 509--536 (2006; Zbl 1117.43001)] and \textit{F. Weisz} [Monatsh. Math. 175, No. 1, 143--160 (2014; Zbl 1311.42017)] have proved that under some conditions on the Fourier transform of \(\theta\), the \(\theta\)-means \(\sigma_T^{\theta}f\) converge to \(f\) almost everywhere and in norm as \(T \rightarrow \infty\), whenever \(f\) is in the \(L_p(R)\) space or in a Wiener amalgam space. These results are also known for higher dimensional functions. Moreover, the set of almost everywhere convergence contains all Lebesgue points. In this paper the author obtains some new results on the convergence of \(\sigma_T^{\theta}f\) as \(T \rightarrow 0\). He shows that under some conditions \(\lim_{T \rightarrow 0} \sigma_T^{\theta}f = 0\) almost everywhere and in Wiener amalgam norm. He also traces back the inverse wavelet transform to summability means of Fourier transforms and obtains norm and almost everywhere convergence of the inversion formula for functions from the \(L_p\) and Wiener amalgam spaces.
