Denote by \(\Omega_n\) the sets of all admissible configurations on vertices \(V_n\) of a Cayley tree. The hard-core model on \(V_n\) is defined by the \(p\)-adic Hamiltonian \[ H_{\lambda}(\sigma)=\sum_{x\in V_n}\log_p\lambda_{\sigma(x)},\tag{1} \] where \(\sigma\in\Omega_n\) and \(\lambda= (\lambda_0, \lambda_1, \lambda_2)\in\mathbf{Q}^{3}_p\) (\(p\) is a prime number). In the present paper, the author constructs \(p\)-adic Gibbs measures associated with the hard-core model on an arbitrary order Cayley tree. The author establishes the existence, uniqueness or non-uniqueness of the translation-invariant \(p\)-adic Gibbs measures associated with the model corresponding to the \(p\)-adic Hamiltonian (1) under some given conditions. By using the group structure of a Cayley tree, the author investigates the periodic \(p\)-adic Gibbs measures for the \(p\)-adic Hamiltonian (1). The boundedness of \(p\)-adic Gibbs measures for \(H_\lambda\) is studied. The author proves that a \(p\)-adic Gibbs measure for \(H_\lambda\) is bounded if and only if \(p\neq 2\). Lastly, he shows that (1) has no phase transition and, in particular, it has no strong phase transition.
