Some properties of approximately dual frames in Hilbert spaces (Q346585)

The author obtains a new characterization of approximately dual frames for a Hilbert space \({\mathcal H}\), which is a notion introduced and studied by \textit{O. Christensen} and \textit{R. S. Laugesen} [Sampl. Theory Signal Image Process. 9, No. 1--3, 77--89 (2010; Zbl 1228.42031)]. He also shows that whenever the frames \(\Phi\) and \(\Psi\) are close enough then it is possible to find approximately dual frames \(\Phi^{ad}\) and \(\Psi^{ad}\) which are close to each other and satisfy \(T_\Phi\circ U_{\Phi^{ad}} = T_\Psi\circ U_{\Psi^{ad}},\) where \(T_X\) and \(U_X\) denote the synthesis and analysis operators of the frame \(X.\) The obtained results are applied to some concrete Gabor systems.
