Hopf group coalgebras were introduced by \textit{V. G. Turaev} [in ``Homotopy field theory in dimension 3 and crossed group-categories'', preprint]. It was observed by \textit{S. Caenepeel} and \textit{M. De Lombaerde} [Commun. Algebra 34, No. 7, 2631-2657 (2006; Zbl 1103.16024)] that a Hopf group coalgebra is a Hopf algebra object in some symmetric monoidal category \(\mathcal T_k\) called the Turaev category. In this paper, the authors study group-crossed product and group-cleft extension. A characterization of group-crossed product by group-cleft extension is given. In Section 3, a generalization of the result by \textit{Y. Doi} [Commun. Algebra 17, No. 12, 3053-3085 (1989; Zbl 0687.16008)] on the bijection between isomorphism classes of cleft extensions and equivalence classes of crossed systems is obtained. An example of this theory is constructed in the last section.
