The dynamics of the translation \(C_0\)-semigroup has been considered in several respects. \textit{G. D. Birkhoff} [C. R., Math., Acad. Sci. Paris 189, 473--475 (1929; JFM 55.0192.07)] proved that the translation operator is hypercyclic, i.e., it has a dense orbit, on the space of entire functions \(\mathcal{H}(\mathbb{C})\) endowed with the compact open topology. Later, \textit{W. Desch} et al. [Ergodic Theory Dyn. Syst. 17, No. 4, 793--819 (1997; Zbl 0910.47033)] characterized the hypercyclicity of the \(C_0\)-semigroup, with \(\mathbb{R}_0^+\) as an index set, on weighted spaces of continuous and \(p\)-integrable functions, for \(1\leq p<\infty\). They also considered the case of the translation group on these spaces. The dynamics of the translation \(C_0\)-semigroup with a sector of the complex plane as an index set was considered by \textit{J. A. Conejero} and \textit{A. Peris} in [Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. 25, No. 4, 1195--1208 (2009; Zbl 1177.47014)]. An element \(a\) in a group \(G\) is said to be a \textit{torsion element} if it is of finite order. In a locally compact group \(G\), an element \(a\in G\) is said to be \textit{periodic} if the closed subgroup generated by \(a\) is compact, and \textit{aperiodic} if not. The author has previously studied the hypercyclicity of weighted translation operators by aperiodic elements on locally compact groups [\textit{C.-C. Chen} and\textit{C.-H. Chu}, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 137, No. 8, 2709--2718 (2009; Zbl 1177.47013), Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 139, No. 8, 2839--2846 (2011; Zbl 1221.47017)]. In this note, the results are extended to the case that the translation operators were generated by non-torsion elements of a locally compact group.
