The authors deal with the existence of solutions of the general Beltrami equation with two characteristics \[ f_{\bar{z}}=\mu(z)f_{z}+\nu(z)\bar{f_{z}}, \] where \(f_{z}=\frac{1}{2}(f_{x}-if_{y})\), \(f_{\bar{z}}=\frac{1}{2}(f_{x}+if_{y})\), and \(\mu(z)\) and \(\nu(z)\) are measurable functions such that \(|\mu(z)|+|\nu(z)|<1\) almost everywhere. The authors present several integral conditions involving the distortion coefficient \[ K(z)=\frac{1+|\mu(z)|+|\nu(z)|}{1-|\mu(z)|-|\nu(z)|} \] to ensure the existence of a regular solution of the general Beltrami equation above-mentioned. The integral conditions are given in the form \[ \int \Phi(K)<\infty, \] where \(\Phi\) is the Orlicz function.
