The author considers the equatorial wind waves, which describe particular dynamics, because of the vanishing of Coriolis parameter along the Equator. Very important feature is the Equatorial Undercurrent (EUC). Because of the smallness of the width of the EUC , the Coriolis parameter can be neglected. Moreover, the effect of the wind is confined to a depth of few tens of meters, the surface water waves propagating westward in the equatorial Pacific can be described as a wave-current interaction. They will study a bifurcation approach introduced by M. G. Crandall and P. H. Rabinowitz to show the existence of steady two-dimensional periodic waves. The approach yields the explicit dispersion relation.
