Chaotic dynamics of the heat semigroup on the Damek-Ricci spaces (Q375524)

The author investigates the heat semigroup \(T_t\), \(t\geq 0\), generated by a certain perturbation of the Laplace-Beltrami operator of a Riemannian symmetric space \(X=G/K\) of noncompact type. He shows that this semigroup is chaotic on \(L^p\) in the sharp range \(p>2\), and the corresponding perturbation is also sharp. The obtained results are extended to the non-symmetric Damek-Ricci spaces and the Lorentz spaces \(L^{p,q}\). For the last case, the chaoticity degenerates to subspace-chaoticity only when \(q=\infty\).
