    Consider a commutative associative unital ground ring \(k\), a Hopf \(k\)-algebra \(H\) and a unital \(k\)-algebra \(A\). A twisted partial action of \(H\) on \(A\) is a pair of \(k\)-module maps \(\alpha\colon H\otimes A\to A\), \(\omega\colon H\otimes H\to A\) such that \[ 1_ha=a,\qquad h(ab)=\sum_h(h_{(1)}a)(h_{(2)}b), \] \[ \sum_{h,l}(h_{(1)}(l_{(1)}a))\omega_{h_{(2)},l_{(2)}}=\sum_{h,l}\omega(h_{(1)},l_{(1)})(h_{(2)}l_{(2)}\cdot a),\quad\omega(h,l)=\sum_{h,l}\omega(h_{(1)},l_{(1)})(h_{(2)}l_{(2)}\cdot 1_A). \] Here \(ha=\alpha(h,a)\). Connections with partial crossed products are established. The case of symmetric partial actions, partial cleft extensions, connections between isomorphisms and equivalence of data \((\alpha,\omega)\) are considered.
