Metrics with prescribed Ricci curvature near the boundary of a manifold (Q378832)

The paper studies the existence and the unicity of Riemannian metrics on manifolds with boundary, subject to a prescribed Ricci tensor field (i.e. exact solutions for an Einstein-like equation, in the Riemannian setting), around a point on the border. Under some nondegeneracy-like conditions imposed to the ``energy-momentum'' tensor field and some natural boundary conditions, the author proves the (local) existence of the solution sought after. Applications are given for rotationally symmetric metrics near the boundary of a solid torus.
