The author considers the explicit formula given in [\textit{J. Wojdylo}, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 196, No. 1, 241--266 (2006; Zbl 1096.41008)] for the coefficients in the asymptotic expansion originated by the Laplace's method for integrals. Wojdylo's formula, given in equation (2.4), is expressed in terms of a double sum involving Bell polynomials (whose more convenient computation technique is a recurrence relation). The author rewrites this formula in equation (2.6) in the form of a double sum involving potential polynomials (whose more convenient computation technique is also recurrence relation similar to that of the Bell polynomials). Formula (2.6) is used to give an explicit formula in equation (3.8) for the coefficients of the Stirling expansion of the Gamma function in terms of Stirling numbers of the first kind. This formula, given as a double sum, may be compared with formula (3.9) derived in [\textit{J. L. López} et al., J. Approx. Theory 161, No. 1, 280--291 (2009; Zbl 1194.33004)], that is given as a triple sum. Another example of the use of formula (2.6) is the derivation of explicit formulas for certain polynomials related to the coefficients in the uniform asymptotic expansion of the incomplete gamma function.
