Translation surfaces of constant curvatures in a simply isotropic space (Q397089)

Translation surfaces in non-Euclidean spaces have attracted recent interest of geometers. The author describes, up to a congruence, translation surfaces in a simply isotropic 3-space having constant Gaussian or mean curvature. It is shown that, contrary to the Euclidean case, there exist translation surfaces with constant Gaussian curvature \(K \neq 0\) and translation surfaces with constant mean curvature \(H\neq 0\) that are not cylindrical. Furthermore, Weingarten translation surfaces (i.e., with a functional relationship \(F(K,H) = 0\)) are investigated.
