In [\textit{V. V. Zhuk}, Approximation of periodic functions. (Approksimatsiya periodicheskikh funktsij). Leningradskij Ordena Lenina i Ordena Trudovogo Krasnogo Znameni Gosudarstvennyj Universitet im. A. A. Zhdanova. Leningrad: Izdatel'stvo Leningradskogo Universiteta (1982; Zbl 0521.42003)] the expansion of a function from \(W_1^{(m)}[x-h/2,x+h/2],\;m\in \mathbb{N},\;h>0,\;x\in \mathbb{R}\) in terms of the first-order differences of its successive derivatives starting with the antiderivative is given. After that the author and V. V. Zhuk have obtained an analog of this expansion for the second-order differences. Here, this expansion for convolutions with some kernels is generalized. The obtained generalizations to establish best approximation estimates for convolutions in terms of the second modulus of continuity are used. The Jackson-type inequalities for even-order derivatives are particular cases of the obtained estimates.
