A central question in the theory of positive operators between Banach lattices is the domination problem: let \(0\leq S\leq T\) be positive operators between Banach lattices. Assume that \(T\) satisfies some property (*). Does then the operator \(S\) inherit the property (*)? The aim of this paper is to survey several recent results on domination for some classes of operators which include strictly singular operators, with some remarks on strictly cosingular and super-strictly singular operators. Then the domination of Banach-Saks and narrow operators is considered. The paper ends with domination of \(p\)-summing operators and several open problems on the topic.
