In the underlying article, the author mixes regular convex polytopes of the same rank but of different types to obtain a new geometrical structure. Hereby a regular convex polytope is understood in the usual sense. For the mixing operation, the polyhedra are viewed as abstract geometries. More precisely, one considers the involutions that generate the Coxeter group belonging to the polyhedron. Given two Coxeter groups \(\langle s_1, s_2, \dots s_n\rangle\) and \(\langle t_1, t_2, \dots t_n\rangle\), the mix of these groups is the subgroup of the direct product generated by the elements \((s_i, t_i)\). The author lists the mixes of regular polytopes of small rank. Furthermore, it is shown whether the mix of two polytopes can be identified with a polytope.
