This paper deals with some kind of collapse of convex polyhedra. Namely, let \(P\) be a convex polyhedron in the space of constant curvature \(R^n\) (resp. \(S^n\), \(H^n\)). For a facet \(F\) of \(P\), let \(H_F\) denote the hyperplane supporting \(P\) at \(F\). Given any other facet \(G\) of \(P\), consider the rotation \(\Phi_{F,G}\) about \(H_F\cap H_G\) such that the half-hyperplane \(H_G\) containing \(G\) is rotated onto the half-hyperplane \(H_F\) containing \(F\); if \(H_F\) and \(H_G\) are parallel (or ultraparallel in the hyperbolic case), then define \(\Phi_{F,G}\) as a reflection in the plane which bisects \(H_F\) and \(H_G\). Then \(\Phi_{F,G}(G)\) is called the collapse of the facet \(G\). The author proposes a simple geometric proof for the following statement. \textbf{Collapsing Walls Lemma.} Let \(P\) be a convex polyhedron in \(R^n\) (resp. \(S^n\), \(H^n\)) and let \(F\) be a fixed facet of \(P\). Then \(F\subseteq \bigcup\Phi_{F,G}(G)\), where the union is over all facets \(G\) of \(P\) different from \(F\). Originally, a similar statement was discussed in [\textit{I. Pak} and \textit{R. Pinchasi}, ``Collapsing walls theorem'', Am. Math. Mon. 119, No. 2, 156--160 (2012; Zbl 1245.52003)] for the Euclidean case only.
