    Let \(h: \mathbb R^d \to [\varepsilon_0, \infty)\), \(\varepsilon_0 >0\), be a so-called moderate function with \(h(\xi) = (1 +|\xi|_A )^\alpha\), \(0 < \alpha \leq 1\), as a prototype. Here \(|\xi|_A\) refers to an anisotropic distance function, based on a corresponding matrix \(A\). Then \(h\) generates a respective covering of \(\mathbb R^d\). Let \(\{ \phi_k \}\) be a corresponding resolution of unity in \(\mathbb R^d\). Then \[ \| f | F^s_{p,q} (h) \| = \Big\| \Big( \sum_k |h(\cdot)^{s} \big( \phi_k \widehat{f} \big)^\vee |^q \Big)^{1/q} | L_p \Big\| \] and \[ \| f | M^s_{p,q} (h) \| = \Big(\sum_k \big\| h(\cdot)^s \big( \phi_k \widehat{f} \big)^\vee | L_p \big\|^q \Big)^{1/q} \] generalize the (anisotropic) quasi-norms for \(F^s_{p,q}\) and \(B^s_{p,q}\) (called \(\alpha\)-modulation spaces). Here \(s\in \mathbb R\), \(0<p,q \leq \infty\) (\(p<\infty\) for \(F\)-spaces). It is the main aim of this paper to construct compactly supported frame representations for these spaces. This generalizes corresponding constructions known so far.
